In the morning, step inside a humble lodge at the foot of Mt. Haguro to meet your Yamabushi guide. After a purification ritual, walk the stone paths that local priests have tread for centuries. Stop for the night at a traditional inn near the mountain’s summit, where you’ll dine on cuisine made with rare and exotic ingredients foraged from the surrounding hills.

When the sun rises, spend a relaxed morning at your accommodation surrounded by birdsong and mountain breezes. After breakfast, descend from Mt. Haguro, perhaps having gained a renewed appreciation for earth’s natural wonders. Your driver will transfer you to the airport for departure to your next destination.
